Dolls143 viewsDolls are said to have existed since the Paleolithic Era according to Jenny McIntyre, who on August 6 gave a presentation at the Mattapoisett Free Public Library. The dolls on display spanned from the 1800s to the 1960s, looking out at the audience as McIntyre explained the composition of dolls through the ages. Salty Soirée143 viewsSince 2007, the Mattapoisett Land Trust has invited the community to a soirée at the site of Salty the Seahorse. The Halloween themed party on October 19 featured musical performances by Jeff and Lisa Dunn, storytelling by the campfire with Karen Chace, and make-your-own s’mores. Working the Mattapoisett Harbormaster boat piloted by P.J. Beaudoin were Assistant Harbormaster Robert Clavin and intern Robert Haskell, and on the Mattapoisett Fire Department boat were Firefighter Daniel Cortes and Lieutenant Ross Macedo.
