The Cub Scout division had 14 entries, and the Enthusiasts division had 11 entries. The five fastest Cub Scouts cars going to the regional competition in Rochester on March 23: 1st Gabe Michaud, 2nd Kyle Pina, 3rd Thomas Tseki, 4th Matthew Crain, and 5th Eamon Perez. Matthew Crain's blue and gold lego car won Best Scout Theme car, and the Most Unique Design went to Liam Garvin's camping car.

Scouts Honored572 viewsTechnical Sergeant Christopher Qubeck from the Air National Guard, Otis AFB recently presented Boy Scout Troop 53 of Mattapoisett with a flag flown on a combat mission over Iraq, along with a commendation from the US Air Force for their work in sending care packages to soldiers overseas during the past couple of years. Technical Sergeant Qubeck presented the flag and certificate to Mattapoisett Scoutmaster Ron Ellis and Senior Patrol Leader Bryan Buckley at the opening ceremony for MassJam 2008.
