Helping Hands and Hooves219 viewsOn April 30, a fundraising craft fair was held at the Red Oak Garden on the site of the Helping Hands and Hooves' garden on Aucoot Road in Mattapoisett. Organic materials produced on the acreage were made into various ornamental and utilitarian items, allowing the grace and beauty of nature's bounty to shine through. Mattapoisett Polar Plunge219 viewsNew Year’s Day 2023 was bright and balmy when over 100 “plungers” ran, walked, hopped and slid into the freezing waters at Mattapoisett Town Beach. The event was hosted by an ad hoc group collecting donations for those battling cancer. The group has been successful in their efforts to help offset the unseen costs associated with a cancer diagnosis impacting local families.
