Helping Hands and Hooves219 viewsOn April 30, a fundraising craft fair was held at the Red Oak Garden on the site of the Helping Hands and Hooves' garden on Aucoot Road in Mattapoisett. Organic materials produced on the acreage were made into various ornamental and utilitarian items, allowing the grace and beauty of nature's bounty to shine through. The event was hosted by an ad hoc group collecting donations for those battling cancer. The group has been successful in their efforts to help offset the unseen costs associated with a cancer diagnosis impacting local families.
