Salty Soirée228 viewsSince 2007, the Mattapoisett Land Trust has invited the community to a soirée at the site of Salty the Seahorse. The Halloween themed party on October 19 featured musical performances by Jeff and Lisa Dunn, storytelling by the campfire with Karen Chace, and make-your-own s’mores. The entrance to the park at the corner of Route 6 and North Street was lined with luminarias decorated by Center School students. First introduced by MLT member Don Cuddy. Photos by Marilou Newell

June in Bloom228 viewsNearing the fifth anniversary of the passing of Nolan Gibbons, Nolanfest 2025 was held at Silvershell Beach this past Saturday evening. Hundreds were in attendance to pay tribute, remember, and support local singers and musical artists. Over 20 different performances occurred at the stage, including The Showstoppers, of which Nolan was a member beginning in 2014 at the age of nine. The event was free but saw numerous donations to the Nolan Gibbons Memorial Fund which goes towards supporting artists through
