Gail Roberts led distributed sheet music and led in song with musicians Louise Anthony playing the fiddle and Jack Dean the ukulele. Roberts thanked the White family for providing refreshments, the Chapel committee for its effort in maintaining the chapel

Ned’s Point Birthday406 viewsThis past Saturday, Ev had her eighth birthday party at Ned’s Point lighthouse. The day was filled with kite flying and drinking tea with the added bonus of lighthouse tours. Joe Dawiki with the Coast Guard Auxiliary helped us arrange a tour. The kids had a blast and so did the parents. Ned’s Point Light needs restoration. I recommend your next party to be held there to shine light on the need and spread awareness. Courageous 8406 viewsOn August 6, Jeep owners and supporters of the local Relay for Life team, the Courageous 8 founded by survivor Laurie Nunes, gathered for the annual Jeeps and Peeps Rally at Ned's Point. Manning the information table were long-time team members Nancy Souza and Wendy Medeiros. The rally brought together Jeep owners and relay supporters from Rhode Island, Texas and North Carolina. Shining Tides Multiuse Pathway406 viewsThe official opening of the Shining Tides multiuse pathway took place on June 12 with approximately 75 people gathered to applaud the 20-year effort. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation hosted the ribbon-cutting event where the elevated bridge span crosses the Mattapoisett River and Eel Pond marshlands. Representative William Straus noted the hard work of both local volunteers and government members, as well as the support and work done by those associated with Secretary of Transportation
