Mattapoisett Sustainability Partnership276 viewsThe Mattapoisett Sustainability Partnership continues to pursue ways to engage the public as its members work to understand better ways to provide sustainable solutions for a variety of human activity, including art. On September 2, an exhibit of recycled/upcycled works of art was on display at the Mattapoisett Free Public Library. We were amazed at the variety of materials and types of art that were created from small shining towers to 3-D book sculptures to wearable art and more.

Whale Bark Wanderer276 viewsMattapoisett Museum Curator Connor Gaudet and volunteer Bob Clifford unpack the custom model of the Whale Bark Wanderer 1878 recreated by artist George Lowery from scratch and donated to the museum. The model arrived on Tuesday afternoon from Arizona in a crate weighing a total of 181 pounds.
