Lions Club Triathlon391 viewsUnder merciful overcast skies on July 15, the 37th annual Lions Club Triathlon found 115 participants including seven relay teams vying for first place bragging rights. Coming in 1st place in the men’s division was Brian Hughes with a time of 51:38 minutes. Woman’s Club Walks391 viewsThe Mattapoisett Woman’s Club has begun a “Woman’s Club Walks” every Monday at 8:00 am. Members wishing to walk several miles at a different location each week can look up the location of the walk at mattapoisettwomansclub.org. Members, guests, and people interested in joining the Woman’s Club can look up the location and meet each week. All participants will wear masks and keep appropriate social distancing. The walk on August 24 will take place on the Munn Property of the Mattapoisett Land Trust.

On April 12, families gathered at Ned’s Point to celebrate Easter early with a traditional Easter egg hunt, sponsored by the Mattapoisett Lions Club. The Easter Bunny hopped over for a visit, giving children hugs and high-fives as parents scurried to take photos and comfort the smaller ones who were a little reluctant to approach.
