Following events are Wednesday with Concert in the Park and strawberry shortcake, Thursday is Paint Night at Shipyard Park, Friday is the fish fry, Saturday is craft fair/vendors, entertainment, U-Pick ‘Em Auction, and lobster dinner, and Sunday is the pancake breakfast. Woman’s Club Walks392 viewsThe Mattapoisett Woman’s Club has begun a “Woman’s Club Walks” every Monday at 8:00 am. Members wishing to walk several miles at a different location each week can look up the location of the walk at mattapoisettwomansclub.org. Members, guests, and people interested in joining the Woman’s Club can look up the location and meet each week. All participants will wear masks and keep appropriate social distancing. The walk on August 24 will take place on the Munn Property of the Mattapoisett Land Trust.

Mattapoisett Woman’s Club Garden Group392 viewsRed, white, and blue was Sharon Doyon’s vision of the Mattapoisett Woman’s Club Garden Group as 18 members gathered at the library to plant on May 26 in areas including the pots at the Mattapoisett Historical Society and Town Hall, window boxes at the post office and Town Beach house, the lighthouse garden at the harbor, plus the gardens and planters at the Mattapoisett Free Public Library.

Holiday Party at Shipyard Park391 viewsThe community turned out for a wonderful late afternoon of lights, music, food and fun at the annual Holiday Party at Shipyard Park in Mattapoisett hosted by the Lions Club. The Lions were collecting non-perishable food and unwrapped new toys to distribute to those in need during the holiday.
