Happy Days at Harbor Days 351 viewsIt all seems to come and go so quickly year after year, but while the Harbors Days are here the people of Mattapoisett and surrounding towns make time to enjoy the annual seaside event – the fish fry, lobster feast, pancake breakfast, and arts and crafts – that the Mattapoisett Lions Club works so hard all year round to keep going. Happy Campers 351 viewsWhat's happening on a Tuesday morning at Camp Massasoit? It’s easier to ask what's not going on – swimming, boating, archery, crafts, exploring, wall climbing, ball playing, and that's all before they even break for lunch. Photos by Jonathan Comey

Ikebana351 viewsMattapoisett resident Ellen Flynn gave an Ikebana flower arranging demonstration at the public library on May 5. This type of flower arranging began in 7th century Japan, and Flynn has studied the art form for over 15 years. Reading from a centuries-old verse about Ikebana, Flynn shared that this art form is “like a poem, or a painting.” Photos by Marilou Newell

From 9-11 am and 1-3 pm, students sail under the watchful eye of experienced instructors and three safety boats.
