The Lions were collecting non-perishable food and unwrapped new toys to distribute to those in need during the holiday. Led by Tai Chi Practitioner Colman Fink, 15 locals moved gracefully together with conscious breath in the downstairs of the Mattapoisett Free Library – thanks to the rain that dampened the plan to meet at Ned’s Point for a second year in a row. Shaw Farm Trail388 viewsJuly 31 was a big day for the Buzzards Bay Coalition, the Towns of Fairhaven and Mattapoisett, and the entire South Coast when 416 acres of farmland and conservation land were added to the Nasketucket Bay Conservation Project, which was formally completed with the addition of the Shaw Farm Trail that now links the bike path with the Nasketucket Bay State Reservation.
