Tour de Crème426 viewsThe Mattapoisett Land Trust in tandem with the Mattapoisett Bike Path Committee held its first Tour de Crème on Sunday, May 22. The fundraiser brought groups on three different courses – 13-, 25-, and 48-miles long – winding their way through area towns and making stops at various local ice cream parlors. Harbor Days 426 viewsHarbor Days came to Mattapoisett this past weekend, and many visitors were gracious enough to spin The Wanderer Wheel for a $1 donation to the Lions Club. Those who played helped raise an extra $523 the Lions Club will use to benefit the community. Mattapoisett Firefighters Association Chowder Competition426 viewsThe 2nd Annual Mattapoisett Firefighters Association Chowder Competition was well attended this Sunday, September 18, behind the Knights of Columbus on Route 6. Two categories – professional establishment and public safety – competed for best judged chowder and people’s choice. Holiday in the Park426 viewsT’was the fortnight before Christmas and all through the park, every creature was stirring including Santa, Mrs. Claus, Rudolph, and Frosty the Snowman!
