Lions Club Triathlon399 viewsUnder merciful overcast skies on July 15, the 37th annual Lions Club Triathlon found 115 participants including seven relay teams vying for first place bragging rights. Coming in 1st place in the men’s division was Brian Hughes with a time of 51:38 minutes. The students participated in a variety of different exercises using remote controlled helicopters in a hands-on approach to learn valuable lessons in math and science. Annual Christmas Fair398 views The Church of St. Anthony of Padua in Mattapoisett held its annual Christmas fair on Saturday, November 30. The sale featured an array of hand-made artisan goods from custom Christmas tree ornaments to fine baked goods. The fair also offered a big lunch menu for those who needed to take a break from holiday gift shopping. Check out these photos of some of the items that were for sale this weekend.
