The storm brought strong wind and cold rain to the area, especially at the turn around Ned’s Point Lighthouse, dampening the day but not the sentiment behind the Women’s Fund of Southeastern Massachusetts’ largest annual fundraising event. Memorial Day400 viewsThe Florence Eastman Post 220 in Mattapoisett hosted the towns Memorial Day observance and parade on May 31, 2010. The ceremony began with a service at the Veterans monument in front of the library, and then a parade assembled and marched to the town wharf and to Cushing Cemetery.
