Dog's Beach449 viewsAmy Hardwick, a Mattapoisett resident, is petitioning to make Goodspeed Island the official dog beach in town. The town has been working to keep the dog waste bag dispenser full, after abutting neighbors have complained about trash and dog waste at Goodspeed. Harbor Days Craze449 viewsThe town gazebo was the scene of another sultry Harbor Days this past weekend. Rows of vendors peddled their fun wares while visitors of all ages enjoyed music, conversation and the best strawberry shortcake in the world. Bikeway Challenge449 viewsOn Sunday, June 24, the Friends of the Mattapoisett Bike Path hosted their first annual South Coast Bikeway Challenge. Local residents were invited to ride their bikes along the path in order to raise money for the completion of the ongoing project. In addition to the ride, live music was provided and the Mattapoisett Lions Club served lunch.
