Mattapoisett Woman's Club 454 viewsOn September 28, the garden group of the Mattapoisett Woman's Club brought shovels, clippers, trowels, and rakes to the badly overgrown butterfly garden at Center School and cleared out the overgrowth and weeds. The garden will be dedicated to Suzanne Sylvester who along with two other teachers designed, planted, and used this garden to teach students about butterflies. Salty's Hat454 viewsEarly this past Friday, December 1, as folks were rushing to work and children settling into school, an annual tradition transpired in Mattapoisett at the corner of Route 6 and North Street. With the placement of the Santa hat upon the head of our beloved Salty the Seahorse, the holiday season officially began.
