The OHS band played a number of tunes, while the Center School students sang patriotic songs and listened to Principal Rose Bowman read a series of poems and writings to remind the children of what the American flag stands for. 15th annual Christmas Day Swim459 viewsWith light breezes and near freezing temperatures, Christmas Day 2016 found a hail and hearty group diving into Mattapoisett Harbor from town beach to benefit Helping Hands and Hooves. The 15th annual Christmas Day Swim took place at 11:00 am with many participants saying it was a family tradition they cherish. One hundred percent of the proceeds benefit the nonprofit organization that provides therapeutic horseback riding lessons to adults and children with disabilities. Photos by Marilou Newell
