Mattapoisett Firefighters Association Chowder Competition435 viewsThe 2nd Annual Mattapoisett Firefighters Association Chowder Competition was well attended this Sunday, September 18, behind the Knights of Columbus on Route 6. Two categories – professional establishment and public safety – competed for best judged chowder and people’s choice. The 11 ladies and one young, but experienced novice Brenna Carrier, 12, created covered pillows during the exercise. Alpacapalooza! 435 viewsPine Meadows Farm in Mattapoisett is home to some 17 alpacas. Owners Heidi and Jeff Paine opened up the farm to the public over the weekend once the weather cleared.
