Flynn said that the event brought in more than $6,000 - monies that are earmarked for their scholarship fund. She said visitors were awed by the gardens graciously opened for viewing from iconic harbor homes to those set in peaceful rural uplands along the Mattapoisett River Valley. Local residents were invited to ride their bikes along the path in order to raise money for the completion of the ongoing project. In addition to the ride, live music was provided and the Mattapoisett Lions Club served lunch.
