Mom's Running441 viewsOver 600 runners came to Mattapoisett on May 9, 2010 to celebrate mom in the fourth annual Tiara Classic 5K road race. This year’s race had more runners than ever, despite the wind and cold temperatures. Artists Summer Gallery 441 viewsThe Mattapoisett-area Artists Summer Gallery Exhibit will take place on weekends from July 3 to Labor Day. The exhibit will feature paintings, sculptures, photography and scrimshaw by well-known area artists, including sculptures by David Englund and oil paintings by Christine Bertram. On Wednesday mornings, seniors have gathered at the bowling lanes in Mattapoisett for some conversation and friendly competition. Bikeway Challenge441 viewsOn Sunday, June 24, the Friends of the Mattapoisett Bike Path hosted their first annual South Coast Bikeway Challenge. Local residents were invited to ride their bikes along the path in order to raise money for the completion of the ongoing project. In addition to the ride, live music was provided and the Mattapoisett Lions Club served lunch.
