This year’s race had more runners than ever, despite the wind and cold temperatures. Plymouth county, in addition to Cape Cod, the Islands, and Bristol county, prepared for Hurricane Earl, a category 3 hurricane that stood the potential to make landfall in southeastern Massachusetts.
