Baby Gift Baskets581 viewsThe Bay Club ladies lunch together, and they also make baby gift baskets for newborns born with an opioid addiction. On Friday, 8/24, the lunch bunch presented baskets of baby essentials to Southcoast Health so these babies can bring belongings of their very own with them from the hospital to their foster homes. Rows of vendors peddled their fun wares while visitors of all ages enjoyed music, conversation and the best strawberry shortcake in the world. New Year Plunge580 viewsOn January 1, 2013, Mattapoisett Town Beach played host to a New Year’s polar plunge fundraiser. The event, which attracted over 400 people, raised money to benefit BAM Foundation, Inc., a New Bedford non-profit which donates money to South Coast families dealing with members who have cancer. Hampered by the snow and ice they chased the fire through the walls and roof of the house and were eventually able to gain control.
