Family Fun Festival 460 viewsFamilies came out in record numbers to enjoy the 4th Annual Fall Free Family Fun Festival sponsored by the Mattapoisett’s Lion Club on October 19 held at Shipyard Park. Bruce Rocha of the club estimated attendance at over 400. Kids and adults alike enjoyed free face painting, bowling with pumpkins, a corn hole toss, snacks, hayrides to Ned’s Point and, yes, free pumpkins to take home. Skate Park Litter459 viewsAt a recent Mattapoisett Board of Selectmen meeting, Town Administrator Michael Gagne informed the Board that there has been a serious problem with litter at the skate park located behind the police station, despite the conveniently placed trash receptacles.
