The rain couldn't dampen holiday spirits as visitors enjoyed delicious food and listened to Christmas music performed by the Showstoppers. Mattapoisett Tree Committee 492 viewsOn March 9, the Mattapoisett Tree Committee announced the winners of the annual 5th-grade Tree City USA Arbor Day Foundation contest, with this year’s poster theme: “Trees Have Mass Appeal”. The first place prize of a $35 gift certificate went to Amanda Tomasso, whose poster now goes on to the statewide competition. The $25 second place prize went to Sasha Volkema.
