Mr. Ellis will be recognized with a Massachusetts Jazz Educators Lifetime Achievement Award at the Massachusetts Music Educators All-State Conference on March 18, and Mr. Ellis will soon be publishing a book entitled Whiskers on My Cat. There was food from local establishments, ornament making, merry music and Santa! The moment was enough to spur two romantic marriage proposals. Santa Arrives477 viewsMattapoisett held its annual holiday celebration and tree lighting on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at Shipyard Park. The rain couldn't dampen holiday spirits as visitors enjoyed delicious food and listened to Christmas music performed by the Showstoppers.
