Santa Arrives624 viewsMattapoisett held its annual holiday celebration and tree lighting on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at Shipyard Park. The rain couldn't dampen holiday spirits as visitors enjoyed delicious food and listened to Christmas music performed by the Showstoppers. Ashley Mural624 viewsThe mural by Clifford Ashley, donated to the Mattapoisett Historical Society by Polly Duff Phipps, was unveiled in a ceremony at the Mattapoisett Museum and Carriage House on July 31, 2011 after extensive renovation. The mural, entitled "A Chart of the Whale Coast of New England, c. 1810" will now be on display in the Museum at 5 Church Street, Mattapoisett.
