Dreaming of a White Christmas513 viewsThis barn, photographed on December 26, 2010, was part of the original Riverside Farms, a dairy farm that stretched along River Road. It was built in the late 1930s by Manuel R. Nunes, Sr. when an agricultural law was passed to segregate horses from dairy cattle. His son, Manuel R. Nunes, Jr. was the Mattapoisett Highway Surveyor for many years. The barn is still in use today for horses and hay storage by Nunes descendants, still living along River Road. Photo by Tim Smith.

Hundreds lined the beach to take the plunge, with bundled spectators watching from the sidelines and cheering as the plungers charged ahead screaming and shrieking with exhilaration. Proceeds from the plunge benefit locals battling cancer. Photos by Colin Veitch

Harbor Days512 viewsAnother year, another Harbor Days, and another successful effort on behalf of the Mattapoisett Lions Club to raise funds for the good of the community.
