DECA is a program dedicated to preparing young students for the real world. Specifically, it focuses on a wide variety of business subjects, from management to accounting to tourism. There is something for everyone to do in DECA, and there is something for everyone to get out of DECA. There are over 250,000 members nationwide, and a striking 50 students at Old Rochester.

Students in Nicole Radke’s fourth-grade classroom organized and ran the school’s most successful charity fundraiser in just two days. Upon learning about the tragedy of the Boston Marathon Bombings and reflecting upon the courage and bravery of the first responders, students asked their teacher, “Can we do something to help the people who are hurt?”

Project Linus572 viewsJane Tougas' Enrichment Class of eighth graders at Old Rochester Regional Junior High School worked hard in October and November to make over 50 blankets for Project Linus, a charity that provides handmade security blankets to seriously ill and traumatized children.
