Loft School299 viewsThe Loft School of Marion held its Preschool Art Show and Pre-K Celebrates the World Tour on April 6. The boys and girls invited their families to view all the amazing artwork they have created this year. The Pre-K class has spent the year traveling around the world, learning about different countries such as Italy, Portugal, Germany and Costa Rica. The children shared unique projects and interesting facts about each country with their families. It was nice to be able to invite families into school again. A

The four freshmen are Wareham residents Lilia Lopez Del Moral and Emma Pacheco as well as Marion residents Lia Estes and Kent Spooner.

ORR Spirit Week298 viewsThe culmination of Old Rochester Regional High School’s Spirit Week was a pep rally held after October 7 classes in the gymnasium. ORR sophomores performed a Wizard of Oz skit, and the ORR Bulldog joined Dorothy and company. The seniors displayed a "Back in Time/Back to the Future" theme, featuring a cleverly constructed “Delorean,” a colorful aerobics class, lots of action and energetic music with Marty McFly and Doc Brown characters joined by the heroic Bulldog.

Spot298 viewsRochester Memorial School students were treated on Tuesday afternoon to an educational exhibition of the dog-like robot "Spot," a $200,000 machine of which there are approximately 1,500 in the world, according to Kevin Garell, a Rochester resident who works for Waltham-based Boston Dynamics, the manufacturer of the robot.
