After hearing the story of her friend's evacuation from Ukraine, teacher Amy Casi invited the students to make banners of hope and support for Ukrainian children. Mrs. Casi's friend, a fellow teacher of fifth-graders at Kyiv International School, left Ukraine during voluntary evacuations and is currently staying in Texas with her family.

National Wear Red Day351 viewsFebruary 7 was National Wear Red Day, and the students at the Sippican School assembled for their monthly all-school meeting decked out in red in support of the American Heart Association’s “Go Red for Women” raising awareness of the threat of heart disease for women. Kevin Tavares, associate principal, challenged the kids to raise 481 canned goods to top Mr. T’s 480 – they collected over 800 instead! Human Geometry351 viewsAudiences enjoyed the first of two fall drama productions at Tabor Academy last week. Drama teacher Mark Howland wrote and directed “Human Geometry,” which focused on how mathematical concepts can be used to understand human relationships. Audiences can look forward to another fall production, “Bang Bang You’re Dead,” opening Thursday, November 12, at 7:30 pm at the Will Parker Black Box Theatre. Alumni Basketball351 viewsThe Old Rochester Regional High School alumni and the ORR boys’ and girls’ basketball teams shared a couple of friendly games of basketball on March 29 during the 2nd annual Old Rochester Regional Hall of Fame Alumni Hoops Classic.
