Stayin’ Alive 321 viewsSurvival Week at ORR Junior High kicked off on the early morning of Sunday, June 17, as the 7th-graders boarded the busses for Western Massachusetts for a week of roughing it in the wild. And for this generation, that simply means no electronic devices and no Dunkin’ Donuts. Survival is now in its 46th year and still going strong. Some, like Survival leader Kevin “KT the Kilt Man” Thompson, have attended Survival since they were 7th-graders 30 years ago. Photos by Jean Perry

Old Rochester Regional High School321 viewsOld Rochester Regional High School and Junior High School students returned to the classroom on a full-time basis beginning on Tuesday morning. The prescribed separate but nearby drop-off locations made it easy for students to maintain social distance under the new conditions. ORR Pep Rally320 viewsPrincipal Michael Devoll gave Old Rochester Regional High School students a “shot in the arm” of school spirit on Friday January 31 – rather overdue for a school with a varsity basketball team currently in first place, a number of losing streaks in sports that have finally come to an end, and an undefeated debate team, among other reasons for students to be proud. FORM Concert 320 viewsThe tri-town FORM concert brought together students whose combined musicality entertained a full house. The performers sang song style selections from spiritual to jazz and the crowd pleaser “Don’t Worry Be Happy” by Rochester Memorial School. Combining the voices of nearly 300 students the finale was a soulful treatment of “Wade In The Water”. Funds raised through FORM concerts support scholarships awarded each year to graduating seniors who have completed at least two full years in a school music program.
