In a modern twist to the Carroll classic, watch as a 21st century Alice, played by Bess Pierre and Alexandria Strand, preoccupies herself over status updates, cell phone service, WI-FI availability, and even her own existence, as she heads down the rabbit hole and mingles with the slightly sarcastic versions of the classic characters we know and love. The “Best…” and “Most Likely to…” seniors were celebrated that night, while students also mourned last week’s loss of ORR 2017 grad Becket Kiernan, last year’s winner of “Best Laugh” and “Unsung Hero,” who passed away in a California hospital just weeks after finishing his basic training for the Marines. National Wear Red Day376 viewsFebruary 7 was National Wear Red Day, and the students at the Sippican School assembled for their monthly all-school meeting decked out in red in support of the American Heart Association’s “Go Red for Women” raising awareness of the threat of heart disease for women. FORM Concert 376 viewsThe tri-town FORM concert brought together students whose combined musicality entertained a full house. The performers sang song style selections from spiritual to jazz and the crowd pleaser “Don’t Worry Be Happy” by Rochester Memorial School. Combining the voices of nearly 300 students the finale was a soulful treatment of “Wade In The Water”. Funds raised through FORM concerts support scholarships awarded each year to graduating seniors who have completed at least two full years in a school music program.
