This year, the day marked Kleimann’s last day at RMS as she is retiring after 31 years. Kleimann is best known for directing the Shakespeare plays at RMS and for orchestrating the student send-off every summer. Over 100 students participated in selections that included metal art, welding, a combo of carpentry and CADD, auto maintenance, computer science, culinary arts, Lego robotics, electronics engineering, cosmetology, and sports. After hearing the story of her friend's evacuation from Ukraine, teacher Amy Casi invited the students to make banners of hope and support for Ukrainian children. Mrs. Casi's friend, a fellow teacher of fifth-graders at Kyiv International School, left Ukraine during voluntary evacuations and is currently staying in Texas with her family.

Students, parents, and community members were invited to bring a dish from another culture to share, so everyone could enjoy a unique and delicious meal. Upward of 50 people attended, including 12 foreign-exchange students in the SouthCoast area representing such countries as Japan, China, Thailand, Germany, Denmark, and Costa Rica.
