Stayin’ Alive 400 viewsSurvival Week at ORR Junior High kicked off on the early morning of Sunday, June 17, as the 7th-graders boarded the busses for Western Massachusetts for a week of roughing it in the wild. And for this generation, that simply means no electronic devices and no Dunkin’ Donuts. Survival is now in its 46th year and still going strong. Summer Discovery Experience400 viewsOCRVTHS ran its 2nd Annual Summer Discovery Experience for students entering grades 4-9 the week of July 16-20. AFS Club International dinner399 viewsOld Rochester Regional High School’s AFS Club held an international dinner in the cafeteria on Sunday evening. Students, parents, and community members were invited to bring a dish from another culture to share, so everyone could enjoy a unique and delicious meal. Manguito399 viewsCenter School students were introduced to Latin rhythms and percussion instruments by the Boston-based educational Latin American music group Manguito during an afternoon presentation on January 24. Manguito members really captured the attention of the kids, resulting in plenty of learning while the group’s sizzling salsa and merengue music resulted in an eruption of dancing and spontaneous conga lines.
