Miss Sinnott, a junior from Mattapoisett, received first place and Mr. Teefy, a sophomore from Marion, received the second place award. Sprinkler Activation at ORR714 viewsThe Mattapoisett and Marion Fire Departments responded to ORR High School at 10:03am on Friday May 8, for a reported fire alarm activation. Upon arrival they found that a sprinkler head had been activated in the auditorium due to heightened heat levels. The cause of the heat was found to be a stuck thermostat on a heater in that area. The students, who vacated the school when the fire alarm sounded, remained outside the school enjoying the warm sunny day as the fire department worked to resolve the issue.

OHS Heads West!713 viewsThe Old Hammondtown School Drama Club presented a stirring production of “Go West!” on Thursday May 3 at 7:00 pm for the general public and Friday May 4 at 9:00 am for fellow students. Seventy students were part of this impressive production with assistance from Ms. Cathleen Sinnott and members of the Old Rochester Regional High School Drama Club along with many parent volunteers who worked diligently with the students since January.
