Tabor Academy’s Day of Service382 viewsTabor Academy’s Day of Service was a success, spanning much of the South Coast during ambitious volunteer projects. Scores of students participated in work at the Bog Jog, at the Sippican School in Marion and Alma Del Mar in New Bedford, and at the Dartmouth YMCA, where they picked 2,150 pounds of eggplant, tomatoes, squash, as well as sweet and hot peppers, amounting to upward of 9,000 servings for those in need. Special Olympics Young Athletes382 viewsRoughly 120 Tabor Academy students volunteered on January 10 to assist with the school’s first session of the Special Olympics Young Athletes™ program held at Tabor. The program offers children ages 3-7 with intellectual and developmental disabilities opportunities to engage in physical activities vital to mental and physical growth. Spearheaded by Math teacher Tim Cleary and Tabor senior Molly Bent, sessions continue January 17 to March 6 (no session February 7) at 2:00 pm at the Fish Center for Athletics
