The Scoop on S.C.O.P.E. 443 viewsORRJHS 7th-grade students participated in the annual S.C.O.P.E. cardboard boat race at the beach at the Mattapoisett YMCA last Wednesday, June 20. The students engineer and build their boats – some sink, some sail – and this year team “Funky Monkey” came in first place. There were 15 boats in all this year, all created by teams of four. Project Empty Bowls443 viewsThe Ceramics and Art I students at ORRHS created these one-of-a-kind bowls to serve up hot soup during the school’s first ever Project Empty Bowls fundraiser on November 29. The Empty Bowls Project is an international grassroots effort to raise funds and awareness of hunger.
