The mob of over 200 carolers, including many Tri-Town residents, convened at the Dartmouth Mall to surprise shoppers with a medley of three holiday classics: "Deck the Halls", "Silent Night" and "Jingle Bells". Octoberfest513 viewsThe Sippican Tennis Club was the site of the third annual Buzzards Bay Habitat for Humanity Octoberfest on September 19 in Marion Village. Music was provided by Felonious Funk, and party-goers enjoyed a wide array of finger foods and fine spirits. Friendly conversation lingered over the silent auction tables, which offered original oil paintings, handmade felted purses, memberships to the Wareham YMCA and the Marion Art Center, and plenty of gift certificate to area businesses. Zumbathon513 viewsThe ORR high school gymnasium was alive with music and movement on Sunday, April 11, 2010, when dancers took to the floor for a good cause. For a $30 contribution, participants could Zumba for three hours, and the proceeds of the Zumbathon went to Compassionate Care for ALS in Falmouth, a non-profit organization that provides equipment and support to families affected by ALS. The Zumbathon was in honor of Jeffrey Lawrence, a 47-year-old man living with ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis).

2014 Buzzards Bay Watershed Ride513 viewsOver 150 cyclists celebrated the beauty of the Buzzards Bay area on October 5 during the 2014 Buzzards Bay Watershed Ride that passed through Rochester at Eastover Farm. A 75-mile ride to raise fund and awareness of the BBC started at Horseneck Beach in Westport all went all the way to Falmouth, and the half-route 35-mile ride started in Rochester.
