Proceeds from the event will go to several charities in the state such as the Jimmy Fund and Dana- Farber Cancer Institute to assist in cancer research. Magic Memories594 viewsThe Showstoppers, the popular Mattapoisett-based singing troupe, just returned from a trip to Disney World in Orlando, FL, where they performed at the theme park as part of “Disney’s Magic Music Days” on August 5. The group performed at the Galaxy Palace Theater located in Tomorrowland inside Disney’s Magic Kingdom. Nasketucket Bird Club592 viewsThis Great Horned Owl was spotted by "birder" Carolyn Longworth on a December Nasketucket outing. The next meeting of the Nasketucket Bird Club will be Thursday, January 26, 7:00 pm at the Mattapoisett library. The group will discuss plans for programs, trips, and speakers. Everyone is welcome. Nasketucket members include birders from Mattapoisett, Wareham, Marion, Rochester, Fairhaven, Acushnet, and other area towns.
