On Saturday, September 18, the Brad Barrows motorcycle run raised money for Tri-Town youth sports, and on Sunday, September 19, the Ride for Alex poker run raised money to offset medical costs for Alex Pateakos, a Marion boy who lives with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). Olde Field Farm379 viewsThe Mattapoisett Land Trust and the Rochester Land hosted a joint walk at the Olde Field Farm property on the afternoon of Sunday, February 23. Hikers walked through the pinewood trails and through the frozen wetlands surrounding the Mattapoisett River, looking for animal tracks in the snow and admiring the natural beauty Rochester has to offer. Strengthening Families Fair379 viewsThere was so much to do and discover on March 1 at the “Strengthening Families Fair”, funded by the Department of Early Education & Care, and coordinated by the Old Rochester Regional School District. Between 300 and 400 guests came to sample the chowder of 16 different teams, split into two categories: public safety and professional.
