Relay for Life341 viewsOver 200 Tri-Town residents gathered to help raise money for the American Cancer Society by participating in the fifth annual Relay for Life. The Relay started at 5:00 pm on Friday June 11 and continued until 12:00 pm on Saturday. Participants walked the track at ORR throughout the night and into the next afternoon as a way to honor cancer survivors and those who lost their battle to cancer. Personalized luminaria bags lined the track, lighting the way for the participants throughout the night.

Tropical Storm Earl341 viewsBoth Mattapoisett and Marion docks were busy spots last week when the National Weather Service issued a Hurricane Warning to the region. Plymouth county, in addition to Cape Cod, the Islands, and Bristol county, prepared for Hurricane Earl, a category 3 hurricane that stood the potential to make landfall in southeastern Massachusetts. On Saturday, September 18, the Brad Barrows motorcycle run raised money for Tri-Town youth sports, and on Sunday, September 19, the Ride for Alex poker run raised money to offset medical costs for Alex Pateakos, a Marion boy who lives with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA).
