Nature Explorers421 viewsMattRec and the Marion Natural History Museum partnered for the second year to provide "Nature Explorers" summer program. The students explored several different locations around Mattapoisett this year. We visited Land Trust property off Mattapoisett Neck Road and Bob Field gave us a tour of his Oyster farming operation. Miss South Coast, Jillian Zucco, coordinated the fundraising event as part of her progress towards the upcoming Miss Massachusetts pageant. Tour de Crème421 viewsThis Sunday was the third annual Tour de Crème, a fundraising partnership between the Mattapoisett Land Trust and the Friends of the Mattapoisett Bike Path. The ride started at the Town Beach and wound its way through the Southcoast, making stops at the various creameries along the way. BBC Watershed Ride421 viewsThe Buzzards Bay Coalition’s 13th annual Watershed Ride pedaled its way through the Tri-Town on Sunday, October 6, taking participants on three different courses that wound through the land that surrounds Buzzards Bay the way gold enfolds a pearl.
