Disaster Drill421 viewsFairhaven Fire Department hosted a full-scale exercise to improve emergency response in the region. Mattapoisett, Rochester, Dartmouth, Freetown, Acushnet, and New Bedford all responded to a disaster that simulated an accident between a school bus and an oil truck at Livesey Park in Fairhaven. Relay for Life421 viewsOver 200 Tri-Town residents gathered to help raise money for the American Cancer Society by participating in the fifth annual Relay for Life. The Relay started at 5:00 pm on Friday June 11 and continued until 12:00 pm on Saturday. Participants walked the track at ORR throughout the night and into the next afternoon as a way to honor cancer survivors and those who lost their battle to cancer. Personalized luminaria bags lined the track, lighting the way for the participants throughout the night.

Children’s Chorus 421 viewsOn Sunday, May 20, the SouthCoast Children’s Chorus presented their Spring Concert, “Singing Our Dreams” to a jam-packed audience at St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church in Marion.
