Buzzards Bay Watershed Ride 378 viewsIt was a windy ride for the 120 participants of the 9th Annual Buzzards Bay Watershed Ride on October 4. From Westport to Falmouth, cyclists rode either the 75-mile or 35-mile route to raise funds for the Buzzards Bay Coalition, bringing in nearly $90,000. Miss Inspirational378 viewsThe Miss Inspirational program took to the ORR stage and stole the show on Friday, May 6, during a packed auditorium assembled to see 29 young women of all abilities showcase their talents and accomplishments. Miss South Coast, Jillian Zucco, coordinated the fundraising event as part of her progress towards the upcoming Miss Massachusetts pageant. Miss South Coast378 viewsJillian Zucco of Mattapoisett (2nd from left), competing as Miss South Coast, was chosen as the first runner up in the 77th annual Miss Massachusetts Scholarship Pageant and received a $3,000 scholarship. Zucco was also the recipient of the Dr. Robert Harney Preliminary Swimsuit Award in the amount of a $250 scholarship and a $150 scholarship as the Miss Miracle Maker, which is awarded to the contestant who raises the most funds for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
