Tour de Crème383 viewsThis Sunday was the third annual Tour de Crème, a fundraising partnership between the Mattapoisett Land Trust and the Friends of the Mattapoisett Bike Path. The ride started at the Town Beach and wound its way through the Southcoast, making stops at the various creameries along the way. This year’s weather was a major improvement from last year’s soaking, but overall participation was down this year. Relay for Life382 viewsChildren went to the Center School in Mattapoisett to make their own ornaments and gifts at the Relay for Life workshop on December 6, 2009. For a $6 donation, children could pick from crafts like pine cone Christmas trees, clothes-pin reindeer, and foam ornaments paint, glitter and glue were in abundant supply. Informance Concert382 viewsOn Sunday, January 27, the South Coast Children’s Chorus held an Informance Concert which allowed potentially interested members to come in and see what the group is all about.
