Olde Field Farm355 viewsThe Mattapoisett Land Trust and the Rochester Land hosted a joint walk at the Olde Field Farm property on the afternoon of Sunday, February 23. Hikers walked through the pinewood trails and through the frozen wetlands surrounding the Mattapoisett River, looking for animal tracks in the snow and admiring the natural beauty Rochester has to offer. Strengthening Families Fair355 viewsThere was so much to do and discover on March 1 at the “Strengthening Families Fair”, funded by the Department of Early Education & Care, and coordinated by the Old Rochester Regional School District. The gymnasium at the ORR High School was set up like a kids’ wonderland, with art projects, reading activities, brightly-colored gymnastics equipment, a flowing rainbow parachute, and…everyone’s favorite local children’s music group, “the Toe Jam Puppet Band.” Photo by Jean Perry

2015 Tri-Town Relay for Life355 viewsThe 2015 Tri-Town Relay for Life raised over $35,000 this year, with proceeds going to benefit The American Cancer Society. The all-night event at the Old Rochester Regional High School track is a special event when the community honors cancer survivors and remembers loved ones who lost their battle with cancer, in addition to raising funds for a cure.
