Since 1922, the National Fire Protection Association has been helping local fire departments with educational materials related to fire safety.

Red Shift, skippered by Jo Riley of Massachusetts Maritime Academy, finished the race in 21 hours, 14 minutes and 15 seconds and was runner-up among the 11 boats in the PHRF 145 class. Holiday at Shipyard Park382 viewsMattapoisett’s annual Holiday at Shipyard Park was held on December 14 to the delight of the young and not-so-young. The family-centered event featured Mr. and Mrs. Clause, Frosty, and Rudolph as well as a really big beach chair. The holiday tree was festooned with decorated buoys in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Mattapoisett Land Trust. Refreshments were provided by area eateries offering a wide variety of goodies and fan favorite hot chocolate. December 19, 2024 edition
