A Fresh Paint Event” to benefit the Mattapoisett Free Public Library. The event was held in anticipation of this weekend’s Harbor Days Festival and as part of a series of day-long activities which culminated with an auction of the paintings created earlier in the day and a “Taste of the Town” which showcased over a dozen local restauranteurs. The pilots use charts provided by the United States Government to determine if the thickness of the ice is enough to support the weight of their airplanes.
