Touch-A-Truck 715 viewsMarion Recreation held its 8th annual Touch-A-Truck event at Washburn Park on May 11. The turnout exceeded past Kids Equipment Fun Day events in Marion, especially last year’s, which was repeatedly postponed and then canceled altogether. Ned’s Point Sunset713 viewsOn a recent Ned’s Point evening, two young girls appear as silhouettes come to life while the setting sun floods the gloom in radiating shades of pink, yellow and orange. Low tide gave the evening travelers a footing on the rocky shore below the lighthouse. And, in the distance visited only by the human spirit, the hope of better days ahead was promised.
