Hosted by the Mattapoisett Lions Club every year, the triathlon takes racers .25 miles from the shore of Town Beach and back, 10 miles bicycling through Mattapoisett, and 5K through the village around Ned’s Point Lighthouse. U.S. Lacrosse National Championships650 viewsTwo former ORR youth lacrosse players, Connor Severino (left) and Owen Smith, had the privilege of representing Next Level Lacrosse (Smithfield, RI) in the Under 15 U.S. Lacrosse National Championships held at the Wide World of Sports complex in Walt Disney World. The event comprises the best U15 Club lacrosse programs in the country vying for the prestigious title. The team made it to the quarterfinals of championship play before surrendering a hard fought battle to Duke HHH.

Old Rochester Little League650 viewsThe Old Rochester Little League celebrated its Opening Day of the 2016 season on Saturday, April 30 at Gifford Park off Dexter Road in Rochester. The young athletes took part in the traditional Opening Day parade, which began at Dexter Park and concluded at Dexter Field. ORR Hockey649 viewsOn Saturday, January 19, the Old Rochester Regional Varsity Ice Hockey Team ventured to the John Gallo Ice Arena in Bourne to face off against the Wareham Vikings. Members of the ORR team check out the scoreboard, which was quite active all night. The official score for the game was 12-2 in ORR’s favor, however, the scoreboard stopped keeping score at 8-2 due to the landslide victory.
