Catch the spirit! 573 viewsIt was some tween fun at Old Rochester Regional High School on Sunday, September 5, 2010 when the schools varsity cheerleaders provided a cheer clinic fundraiser for young, aspiring cheerleaders. These younger cheerleaders will join the varsity squad at the ORR/Nauset football game on September 11, at the ORR David Hagen field at 7:00 pm. Plymouth Sands Trail Riders 573 viewsOn Sunday, October 28, the Plymouth Sands Trail Riders bike club held a hare scramble at the Mattapoisett landfill. The club, which boasts over 300 members from all around New England, had over 100 riders participate in the event. Riders from teens up to seniors took off for the 40 minute races around the 2.5 mile wooded track. Proceeds from the event will be part of an annual donation the club makes to fund cystic fibrosis research. Photo by Eric Tripoli

Hosted by the Mattapoisett Lions Club every year, the triathlon takes racers .25 miles from the shore of Town Beach and back, 10 miles bicycling through Mattapoisett, and 5K through the village around Ned’s Point Lighthouse.
