Basketball Bonanza Fundraiser568 viewsOn March 20, Sippican Elementary School's sixth-graders narrowly defeated the teacher-parent team at their Basketball Bonanza Fundraiser for their annual Three-Day Appalachian Mountain Classroom (AMC) field trip. At the game, the students were elated when two area businesses each presented a check for over $600. Tabor Academy Athletes567 viewsEighteen Tabor Academy athletes from the Class of 2016 will be off to compete in NCAA Division I sports once they graduate from the School by the Sea. This is a record-breaking year, up from seven students last year. Celebrating their success, many of the student athletes took part in a ceremony to officially sign their letters of intent with proud friends and families on hand to cheer them on.

Hosted by the Mattapoisett Lions Club every year, the triathlon takes racers .25 miles from the shore of Town Beach and back, 10 miles bicycling through Mattapoisett, and 5K through the village around Ned’s Point Lighthouse.
